“On the occasion of your birthday, you may want to be happy like others. If you are enlightened, you will be much happier.”

The Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Satit Wonghnongtaey, today said that the birthday message to former Prime Minsiter Thaksin Shinawatra did not from the official online twitter account of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

satit_thumb1Mr. Satit said an investigation was underway. He pointed out that at present there are two to three online Twitter accounts which are registered under the name of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva. However, he admitted that such identities were difficult to trace in the cyber world and would take time to do so, saying that any name could be used as an online identity.

Nonetheless, he stressed that the birthday wishes sent to the Twitter account of the ex-Prime Minister did not come from the Mr. Abhisit ‘s official account.

Abhisit-Thaksin “Twitter War” still a long way off…

A Twitter war between Thaksin and Abhisit?

If you are waiting for that big Twitter-Facebook battle between the two, be prepared
for some disappointment.

For one thing, the two don’t post their own messages. They have their respective staff to handle the social media sites. Thaksin revealed that he read only printouts from Twitter. Abhisit wasn’t even sure who had posted the message about his wish that Thaksin would “see Dharma” on his birthday anniversary.

So far, to be frank, their Twitter messages have been rather boring.
