People wanted to know the person who was the mastermind of the attempt to assassinate Sondhi Limthongkul, a core leader of the People’s Alliance for Democracy, an opinion poll by Suan Dusit Poll at Rajabhat Suan Dusit University concluded on Saturday.
Just over 36 per cent of the respondents wanted to see the person behind Mr Sondhi’s assassination attempt case, 27 per cent of them insisted that they would closely follow up the progress of police investigation. Just over 55 per cent said they were not sure the police can close this case as it involved with several influential people and they could interfere with police investigation.
Asked about the possibility that police can arrest the real mastermind of Mr Sondhi’s case, 46.21 per cent of the respondents said they were not sure, 41.37 per cent of them said no way, and only 12.42 per cent said the police can do so.
As high as 68.97 per cent of the respondents were not sure that the soldier and a police officer wanted by police for suspected to have involved in Mr Sondhi’s assassination attempt are the real gunmen, 22.07 per cent believed the two suspects are real assassinators.
